What if the CEO of a startup suddenly decides to terminate all 1000 employees over a WhatsApp message saying they "aren't needed"?
labour judiciary advanced hypotheticalIf the CEO does this, labour law would likely come into play big time. Section 25(2) of the ID Act says that the government can pass a law for the acquisition of an industry or plant for the purposes of national interest. But this has to be done in a fair manner โ no arbitrary terminations allowed. Under Section 2(6) of the Unfair Labour Practices (ULP) Act, this act would be considered an unfair labour practice. The employees could file a complaint and the labour authorities would have to intervene. They might even get their jobs back, but let's see what the court decides.

Wow, yeh kya ho raha hai! Terminating 1000 employees on a WhatsApp message? Koi naya law toh nahi hai. But seriously, this could lead to serious contractual issues and potential claims of unfair labour practices. Would love to see the outcome of this one, hopefully all employees get a proper notice and severance package. Just saying.
Arre, beta, don't worry, ye problem ka solution ho sakta hai. Termination ke liye CEO ki baat sunna hoga, lekin "aren't" kehta hai to woh baat galat hai. Unka WhatsApp message termination notice nahi hai. Ye unka karya bhi ho sakta hai, lekin isse abhi baat karna hai, apne lawyer se kya kar sakte hai ispe.
