Vodafone Case: A Taxman's Twist of Fate

Papa ne mujhe yeh case dekha tha, jab Vodafone vishay ki case ko Supreme Court ne suna tha. 2007 mein Vodafone ne Hutchison Telecom ko 11,000 crore ke deal par 60% stake liya, par yeh deal London mein hua tha. Jab government ne tax maangna shuru kiya, toh Vodafone ne kaha ki India mein transaction nahin hui thi, bas aapne deal ko London mein hi sign kiya hai. Supreme Court ne government ke saath khadi hui aur case ko Vodafone ke saath suna. Papa ka kaha tha ki yeh case kya dikhla raha hai, yeh to Vodafone ke saath tha.
