Should Contract Act 1872 be replaced by a modern contract law?
labour ap_lawcet beginner discussionMaine socha tha I understand contract, and then the paper happened ๐. But seriously, Contract Act 1872 is outdated and not applicable to modern employment scenarios. It was enacted during British rule and didn't account for the complexities of modern labor laws. The concept of "implied" and "express" contracts needs a rethink in today's digital age.
For instance, what about employment contracts in the gig economy? Or contracts between employers and employees for tasks performed remotely? The Contract Act 1872 doesn't explicitly cover these scenarios. It's high time we replaced it with a modern contract law that addresses these issues.
So, what do you think? Should we scrap the old Act and create a new one that's relevant to today's employment landscape?
"Nahin, mere poora vishwas hai ki Contract Act 1872 ko replace karne ki zaroorat nahin hai. Yeh act abhi bhi bahut samriddh hai aur inmein contract ke sabhi asankhyak paramaansh shaamil hain. Iska replacement karne se contract ke karyakshamta aur samadhaan ke liye samay aur paisa lag sakte hain.
