Section 25: Labour Law's Biggest Confusion
labour bar_exam advanced concept_confusionI was trying to grasp Section 25 of ID Act, but honestly, it's like Aamir Khan's character in 3 Idiots trying to understand his dad's 'Chillar'. Is it just me or is Section X (not X, I mean 25) completely contradictory? On one hand, it says no worker can be made to work for less than the minimum wage, but on the other, it's like, okay, but if there's a trade dispute and the worker doesn't agree, you can just reduce their wages? It's like, aren't we going against the principle of fair wages? I mean, I know it's all about interpretation, but what I don't get is, what happens when it's not a trade dispute, but just some lazy management wanting to cut costs? Help a student out, someone!

Section 25 ko lagta hai ki sabse badi confusion hai. Ab yeh decision aaya hai ki contractor bhi employee ho sakta hai, par yeh kaise sochne wala hai ke contractor ka employment relationship kya hai? Kya voh employer ka employee hai ya koi aur cheez? Aur kaise yeh determination hoti hai, yeh to abhi tak clear nahi hai.
