Re: Rajagopal v. State of TN, 1995 - Is Police Reform a Farce?
crpc_bnss mh_cet_law advanced real_caseKya baat hai? This case is a landmark one under CrPC. In 1995, the SC ruled that police must register FIRs even if it involves a minor, and that they cannot be refused on technical grounds. The court also said cops cannot use the "missing person" angle to dodge FIRs. Great, right? I mean, kya problem hai? But fast forward to today, aur kya? FIRs are still not being registered, especially in cases of dalits and minorities. Jab tum log mock tests dete ho, I'm at my shift, but this issue is still alive. What's your take on this? Do you think the SC's judgment has been effective in bringing about police reform? Agree or disagree for MH CET Law prep!
