Namaste, guys! So, 'Basic Wages' under Payment of Wages Act, 1936 means any emolument or allowance which is earned by an employee and is payable to him, if no work is done by him. It excludes bonuses, overtime, allowance or commission. It's like, essential wages na, without which employee can't survive! Also, employer can't deduct basic wages under this Act, it's a big relief for workers. -Kya hai views aapke?
Basic wages kee definition, act mein di gayee hai, jo 'kaam karne wale kaa sabse adhik pramaanee aavadhaar aur saaranshee aavshyak bhootkhee kee aavshyakata ke anusaar, usse aapnaata jata hai.
"Basic wages" mein vah portion hai jiska payment karyakarta ko apne vartman kam mein milega, jaise ki daftar kam, chakri kam ya anya karya jiske liye use samay dete hue. Isme salaries, wages aur anya forms of remuneration ka account laga jaata hai, lekin bonus, overtime allowance aur anya perks nahin. Yeh concept kaafi important hai, especially jahaan vartman kam mein badlaav aata hai.
