Kesavananda Bharati v. State of Kerala (1973)

Ye judgment bahut important hai for Constitutional Law students. In this case, a constitutional bench of 13 judges upheld the Parliament's power to amend even the basic structure of the Constitution. Log kheenchte the, "basic structure doctrine" se pehle, Constitution aapne is bare se amend karsakta tha. Lekin Supreme Court ne yeh kaam karke kuchh baat sahi ki... yeh Parliament ko aur bhi adhik power di. Kya main agree karoongi? Na, nahi. Yeh judgment Constitution ke framework ko thoda thoda badalne ka theek tarika hai, par yeh Parliament ko itna bhi adhik power nahi dein chaiye.
