Justice for all: A Critical Analysis of the Kesavananda Bharati Case

Ye sab theory hai, but how many of you know about the Kesavananda Bharati case? It's a landmark judgment in Indian Constitutional Law, decided by the Supreme Court in 1973. The case basically dealt with the power of Parliament to amend the Constitution. The court held that Parliament has the power to amend the Constitution, but not to destroy or modify its basic features. This meant that Parliament can't alter the fundamental character of the Constitution, and any amendment must be harmonious with its core.
