Doubt between Service Connected Leave and Sick Leave
labour bar_exam intermediate doubtYaar samajh nahi aaya.
In Labour Law, I'm getting confused between Service Connected Leave (SCL) and Sick Leave. Both concepts seem to have overlap. Don't know if I'm just not getting it, or if they really are too similar.
SCL provides for leave when a worker is forced to take time off due to circumstances beyond their control, e.g., natural calamities, breakdown in public utilities, etc. On the other hand, Sick Leave is when an employee is on leave due to illness or disease.
But here's the confusing part - in some cases, an employee's illness might be due to working conditions (like in case of workplace accidents or prolonged exposure to hazardous materials). In such cases, would that be considered a SCL or Sick Leave? Kya difference hai? Please help.
Arre, ye to bahut confusing acha hai. According to the rules, Service Connected Leave (SCL) is applicable when an employee is ill due to work-related injuries or diseases. Lekin, if the employee's illness is not directly related to work, Sick Leave (SL) kaa adhikaran hai. We need to see the specific rules of the company and the labour laws applicable to our country. Aap konsa precedent follow karna chahte ho?
