Yeh case sabko pata hai, par kya aapne iska vishleshan kiya hai? Burroughs Company ne Philip Morris ko case diya, ke unka product Viceroy cigarette ek copy tha unki product Philip Morris ki. Court ne kaha ki Viceroy ne aapni product ka trademark phailaya hai, par woh unki property hai. Lekin agar woh trademark use kiya hai bas kuch hee badlaav lagta hai. Is case mein court ne kaha ki trademark koi exclusive rights nahin hai, woh sirf aapni product ka vishisht lakshan hai. Iske baad sabhi companies ne apne products ke liye trademark lagane shuru kiye, ki woh aapne property ka protection karein.

Yaar, Burroughs v. Philip Morris & Co. Ltd. (1915) ka case hain, jahanin British court ne tobacco product ki advertisement pr restriction lagayi thi. Unke anusaar, cigarette ki advertisement par warning dena zaroori hai, kyunki isse public ki aatmakathaa pr asar padta hai. Yeh case humein yeh samajhne mein madad karta hai ki advertisement ke sath saath social responsibility bhi honi chahiye.
