Will Liability for Pure Economic Loss be Extended to Vicarious Liability

Arey mere friends, kya aapko lagta hai kya? Should courts expand the doctrine of vicarious liability to cover pure economic loss? I personally think NAHIN!

In Rajdhani Colleagues case (1998), the court held that the employer is only vicariously liable for the wrongdoings of their employees and not for pure economic loss caused by their negligence. The law is already overburdened with complexities, aur hum ab isey add karne ke liye nahi hai na? The extension of vicarious liability will lead to an unfair burden on employers and may result in an increase in insurance costs, prices, and ultimately, the cost of living.
