When Your Friend Ghosts You, I Think of Section 498A

And then I remember Section 498A, the one about domestic violence. It's crazy how our minds connect laws with everyday situations. Okay, so it's not exactly the same, but think about it – your friend has 'violated' the unwritten social contract of being there for you. And just like how Section 498A requires proof of actual violence or harassment, we need proof that our friend's disappearance wasn't just a coincidence (or a case of ' busy-ness' ).
