When Your Friend Doesn't Pay His Share of the Grocery Bill

tax general advanced law_vs_life

Yaar, have you ever lent your friend money and he 'accidentally' forgets to return it? Same thing happens when you're buying groceries and someone in your household doesn't pay their share of the bill. In both cases, it's like they're trying to take the benefits without taking the burden. But, did you know this is similar to what the law calls an 'unjust enrichment'? According to Section 72 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, if someone receives a benefit without paying for it, they have to return that benefit or pay for it. So, the next time your friend doesn't pay for their share of the pizza, just remind them that they're being unjustly enriched and it's time to cough up some money!

Yeh question bahut mazedaar hai (this question is quite funny)! Main toh kahaunga ki yeh sharership agreement hai, jisme kuchh log ek saath rakhte hain aur kuchh expense share karte hain. Agar dost apna hissa na diya to hum unko notice daal sakte hain aur unse demand karsakte hain. Agar still kuchh nahi mila to hame court ki raheem leni pad sakti hai.
