When You Try to Buy a New Mobile but Seller Doesn't Deliver

contract ailet advanced law_vs_life

You know when a friend asks you to buy a mobile from that fancy new shop and you agree to it but the seller says 'chalo, aakhir aaj tak nahi mila', but actually he never sent it? This is a breach of contract, and that's where Section 75 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 comes in. It says that the seller must deliver the goods in a timely manner or you can get a refund.

Every time I buy something online and the seller says 'aabhi zaroor aaunga', this section comes to my mind. I mean, I know sellers are busy but when are they going to deliver? And what if the thing is 'out of stock' but they took my money already? This section helps you understand your rights as a consumer and how to protect yourself from such situations.
