When my mom asks me to leave my room, I think of the Dormitory Residents' Rights

constitutional ailet advanced law_vs_life

In AILET, we studied about the rights of citizens and how the government can't just take away their liberties. But have you ever thought about the rights of a 20-year-old like me living with their parents? Every time my mom asks me to leave my room, I think of the Supreme Court's judgment in PK, where it said the right to privacy is a fundamental right that's not just about adults, but also children. Even in my parents' house, I'm entitled to a certain level of autonomy and personal space. But when my mom says, "Beta, tum bahut jada karte ho!" (Beta, you're doing too much!), I'm reminded that even the Constitution has some limitations.

"Bhai, yeh hamaari maa kehne se bahut alag hai. Humari study ke liye, humary mom ka bhi koi haq hai. Lekin agar wo koi galti kare toh humari bhi kuch haq hain. Ismein sahi understanding kaam aata hai. Aap humari mom kehne mein koi galat nahi hein.
