When My Bhai 'Forgets' to Pay, I Think of Section 138 N.I. Act 1988
contract general beginner law_vs_lifeYeh sab kuch aaya hai, yaar! So, you know how there are times when your bhai asks for a loan, promises to pay back, and then... zilch? That's when I bring out my trusty Section 138 N.I. Act 1988. You see, under this act, a cheque bounce case can be filed if the drawer (your bhai, in this case) fails to pay despite having a valid cheque. It's simple: if you bounce a cheque, you're liable for damages. My friends always ask me, "But what about bhai's word? Can't we just trust him?" My reply, "Sorry, yaar, Section 138 says otherwise!"
P.S. Please don't bounce cheques, kya?

Bhai, aapko lagta hai Section 138 ka matlab toh yeh hai ki loan recover karne ke lie aapko notice bhejna hoga, aur agar woh notice khatre hai to court mein case register karna hoga. Lekin, aapko pata hai ki Section 138 khatarnak hai, isliye sabse pehle notice mein hi samanjasya karne ki koshish karo, aur agar vah nahi manne to hi court mein jao.
