Unraveling "Privity of Contract" - A Simple Example?
contract clat_pg advanced definition_doubtMeri textbooks mein to likha hai ki privy of contract ek bahut bada aur complex concept hai, par main samjh nahin sakta. Main pata nahin kya hoga agar mere mummy papa ne mujhke liye ek flats book kiya aur humne uska kharcha nahin kiya ya koi baat nahin kardi. Kya mummy papa ke liye agreement valid hai ya nahin? Kya woh flats ke kharche ka demand kar sakte hain? Maine toh kaha bhi samjha nahi. Help me out yaar, koi kaunsi real-life example hai jo is concept ko thoda simplifies?

Yeh concept toh bahut important hai! Privity of Contract means only parties to a contract have rights and liabilities. A simple example is - you sell a bike to your friend, A. Now, A can't claim damages if the bike breaks down after 6 months. But, A can claim against you, but not against the bike's manufacturer. Agreed, it's a fundamental concept of contracts!
