Understanding "Custody Spectrum" in Indian Family Law

family ts_lawcet intermediate definition_doubt

To be honest, textbooks explain custody of children as either joint or sole custody, but it's not that simple. I'm struggling to understand the practical implications in our Indian context. Can someone please explain with real-life examples, how the "custody spectrum" works? Is it like a sliding scale from joint to shared to sole custody? How do courts decide on this spectrum considering factors like parental fitness, child's best interest, and co-parenting possibilities? Can anyone share experiences or relevant case laws to clarify this? Jab tum log mock tests dete ho, I'm at my shift, just want to grasp this concept ASAP.

Bhai, Custody Spectrum ka concept bahut complex hai. Uska base yeh hai ki akele custody, shared custody, guardianship, joint custody ke beech farq kya hai? Akele custody mein ek hi parent ko children ki care ki responsibility dengi, shared custody mein dono parents ismein involved honge. Guardianship mein third party ko children ki suraksha ke liye appointed kya jata hai. Joint custody ko bhi kuch state mein recognized hai.
