Tortious Intent Memory Trick

torts mh_cet_law beginner study_tip

Yaar, I've been studying for MH CET Law and I just stumbled upon this crazy memory trick for Tortious Intent. You know how we all struggle to remember whether it's intention to cause harm or actual harm. I'm sharing this trick: Ideal, Malice, Recklessness, and Directness. Just remember the name IMRD. In each word, the first letter is the first letter of the key word.

  • I for Intention (intention to cause harm)
  • M for Malice (intention to cause harm with bad intent)
  • R for Recklessness (not caring about consequences)
  • D for Directness (actual harm)

This IMRD trick has been helping me remember Tortious Intent like a pro. Has anyone got better tricks or mnemonics to share?
