I know, I know, you think easements are the backbone of TPA law, but hear me out. Most AILET students struggle to grasp easements, and for what? They rarely come up in practical scenarios. I've taken TPA law classes for three years now, and I've seen more emphasis on easements than on the actual Transfer of Property Act. It's time to cut the dead weight. Easements are just a complex way to describe a right to use someone else's land, which is more efficiently covered in sections 19 and 20 of the TPA. Let's focus on the real issues in property law – like the nuances of leases and mortgages – and ditch the outdated concept of easements.
