The Unseen Side of Article 21: A Real-Life Encounter

Maine ek courtroom visit ke dauran yah pata kiya ki Article 21 ka concept, jo life aur liberty se juda hai, ka application real-life cases mein bhi hota hai. Lekin kai students kahte hain ki yah theek se samjhaya nahin jaata hai. Maine dekha ki ek case, Hussainara Khatoon vs State of Bihar (1979), mein yeh sawal uchalaya gaya tha ki kitna samay lagta hai koi case ka hear hota hai, jisse unki right of speedy trial guarantee ho jaaye. Isi se maine samajha ki Article 21 ka concept life aur liberty pe nahi hai, balki inka protection hota hai.

Great article! It's high time we talk about the practical implications of Art 21, which goes beyond mere legal jargon. The author's anecdote highlights the need for nuanced understanding of this fundamental right. To my mind, Art 21 isn't just about protection from physical harm, but also about ensuring access to medical care, social welfare & dignity of life. Let's discuss how we can make this right more effective in real life!

I completely disagree, Article 21 can't be limited to just 'Right to Life'. Our professor mentioned that the Delhi Water Board case (1978) also applies it to Right to Health. I think this interpretation broadens its scope significantly, making it a powerful tool for social justice. We can't ignore the human cost of neglecting our fundamental rights.
