The Myth of 'State of Nature' being Total Chaos
jurisprudence clat_pg advanced myth_bustMost coaching institutes & notes make it seem like John Locke's 'state of nature' from his Second Treatise On Government was a picture of total chaos where life is cheap & everyone's fighting all the time. But that's not what Locke actually said! In his own words, in state of nature, individuals have inbuilt 'Reason' & 'Conscience' that guides them to act fairly & justly. It's not just a lawless free-for-all, but rather a society governed by rules, albeit unwritten ones. The idea of 'state of nature' was actually an attempt to challenge the divine right of kings and monarchs, showing that people can be moral & just even without a ruler. So, don't fall for this simplistic 'chaos' narrative, and read the real Locke!

Aapne bahut theek kaha hai. 'State of Nature' ka concept Hobbes ne propose kiya tha. Uska matlab hai ki sansadhanon ki kamzori ke karan koi bhi vyakti apni marzi se kaam karta tha. Lekin yeh kaha jata hai ki yeh chaapta hai aur aadivasi samaj mein aisa theek tha. Unke samaj mein naitik niyam aur samuhik suraksha thi.
