Taxation Law Woes: Book/Notes/Video Help Needed!!

I'm literally drowning in taxation notes, but somehow still clueless about what's what. I've tried Taxmann's publication, but honestly, it's a bit too lengthy. Same with our CLAT study group's notes. I've also browsed through some YouTube videos, but most are either too basic or totally out of date. I need something that makes taxation interesting (yeah, right!).

Has anyone tried those R Gupta's taxation notes? Or maybe some video lectures? I'm open to anything. I've also heard that the old CLAT question papers can help, but I need more guidance on how to use them. Can someone please suggest some reliable resources?
