Taxation Law: CLAT UG Mock Test Experience

Ok, so I was prepping for my CLAT UG exams and I thought, why not attempt a mock test for Taxation Law. I had studied from the CLATGuide book, but I knew I needed to practice more. The question paper had 40 questions, and 20 minutes were allotted for each section: Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes.

Results: I scored 24 out of 40. My weak areas were questions on depreciation, capital gains, and exemptions under Section 54 of the Income-tax Act. I was struggling with the calculations and forgot to consider some exemptions. On the bright side, I did well on questions related to TDS, TCS, and the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Overall, it was a sobering experience, but I'm trying to learn from my mistakes. Next time, I'll be more careful with the calculations and read the questions more carefully.
