Talaq on WhatsApp?

Hai guys, beware of this question. It seems simple, but trust me, it's a trap. So, you have a Muslim couple who are married under the Special Marriage Act, not the Muslim Personal Law. They live in a Muslim-dominated area and the husband gives talaq to his wife over a WhatsApp chat. Now, the wife files a Section 125 CRPC case for maintenance. The question is - can the court enforce the maintenance order if the husband says talaq was valid under Muslim Personal Law? Most of you might say no, because the couple is married under SMA, not Muslim law. But the twist is - the husband argues that his intention was to give talaq, he just didn't do it in person.
