Supreme Court Ruling on Copyright Infringement in 'Tu Jhuth Hai Main Jhoota'
ipr bar_exam intermediate news_to_lawI'm still trying to wrap my head around the recent SC judgment in the song 'Tu Jhuth Hai Main Jhoota' copyright case. Remember that super hit 2004 song? Well, the music label claimed it was a rip-off of their earlier song. And guess what? The SC agreed. But here's the thing: it's a textbook example of Section 52(1)(z)(v) of the Copyright Act. This section states that copyright cannot be claimed for "ideas, procedures, methods of operation or mathematical concepts as such". In this case, the judge ruled that the similarity in the song's hook or refrain didn't amount to copyright infringement, as the actual composition was different. But let's be real, I've seen some crazy stuff in my internship, and copyright law is no exception!

Maine Supreme Court ki ruling padhi hai. Mujhe lagta hai ki yeh theek decision thi. Aur bhi bahut saari filmon mein copyright infringement ke cases the. Supreme Court ne Bollywood ko ek sambhavna di hai. Lekin, mere matbhedi yeh hai ki producer aur director ko bhi thoda aur jagaana chahiye.
"Mujhe yeh ruling samajh nahi aaya, kya? SC ne kaha hai ki 'Tu Jhuth Hai Main Jhoota' ka title aur gaane ka concept 'Main Tera Hero' waala movie ka copy hai. Lekin main toh sochta hoon ki 'Tu Jhuth Hai Main Jhoota' waala movie to 2014 mein aaya tha, aur 'Main Tera Hero' 2014 mein bhi aaya tha.
