Sexting and Section 354A - A Misdated Provision

Section 354A of the IPC, which deals with 'Sexual Harassment and Publishing or Magnifying Private Sexual Relations' is an outdated law. It doesn't account for the reality of digital communication in the 2020s. With sexting and online flirting increasingly common, this provision becomes a tool for abuse. If a girl sends a guy a compromising photo, and he shares it with others, but later deletes it, this law can still be applied against her. The IPC was drafted when smartphones were non-existent, and the internet wasn't mainstream. It's time to update this provision to protect individuals, not shame them for digital expressions. This outdated law can be reformed to make it easier for victims to seek justice in such situations.
