Section 32 of CrPC: "Police power to seize persons illegally assembling

Ye hain kya, 140 years old law baaki hai, kyun? Section 32 says police can detain anyone for upto 12 hours without a warrant if they think its for public safety. Now, in 2025, do we still need this? It's like giving police a free pass to detain anyone. What about due process? What about human rights? We have so many cases of police brutality and false FIRs. This provision just makes it easy for them to abuse their power. It's time to rethink this and bring it in line with our Constitution. We need to ensure that our law enforcement agencies are not just powerful but also accountable.
