Reality Check in the Law of Abetment

When I was interning at a court, we were discussing the case of Ramaswamy vs. State of T.N., (2002). What I realized is that abetment (Section 107 IPC) isn't just about inciting someone to commit a crime, it's also about aiding that crime in its aftermath. For example, if someone's helping the accused evade police or destroy evidence, that's also abetment. But here's the thing, abetment has a specific requirement - the act of abetment should be something more than just a mere suggestion. It's not just about saying "do this", it's about doing something that makes the other person think you're serious or are providing them aid. It's a subtle difference, but an important one.
