Property Rights: The Right to Stay in My Mom's Guest Room

Yar, tum log kya kehenge? My mom's house is like a joint family property, but she thinks it's only her land. I'm trying to get a separate room, but she says I'm just a guest - no shares in the property, no say in what happens to it. TPA law, guys!
