Offence of Abetment vs. Aiding - Koi Baat Hai
criminal du_llb advanced analogy_postImagine you're watching a movie where Salman Khan's Character (let's call him "Salman") is planning a big robbery. He's not directly committing the crime, but he's guiding his friend "Raj" on how to do it. In reality, Raj is the one doing the robbery, not Salman. This is where abetment comes in. If Raj commits the robbery because Salman told him to do it, Salman can be held guilty of abetment (Sec 107 IPC). On the other hand, if Salman had just helped Raj buy the tools, but didn't tell him to do the robbery, that's just aiding (Sec 109 IPC). Aiding is like giving someone a cricket bat if they want to play, but abetment is like telling them to run and hit the ball, with the intention of making them do it.

"Arey, ab koi baat hai! Offence of Abetment vs. Aiding, bas ek samajh mein aana chahiye. Abetment ka matlab hai koi bhi karke, us crime ko encourage karna. Lekin aiding ke liye, sahayakata karna hota hai. Yeh dono hi IPC ke section 107-109 mein mention hain. Abetment zyada ghatnaon wala hai, jabki aiding kam ghatnaon wala.
