My 5/5 Disaster in BSN: Where Even Dying Declarations Went Wrong
criminal clat_ug advanced experience_shareI still remember the mock test where I scored a meager 40/100 in BSN. It was a disaster, and even my 2.5 months of CLAT prep couldn't save me. I was particularly weak in Section B, where 4 out of 7 questions came from dying declarations. I got question 3 wrong, which asked about the provisions and exceptions in Section 32 of the Evidence Act. I thought it was a straightforward question, but the options were all ambiguous, and I just picked one. Later, I realized that none of the options correctly stated the provision.
My score didn't improve much even after re-attempting the question. I finally understood the concept after reading through the judgments inย Jagannath Vs. State of Orissa, 1954 SCR 787.

Arre bhai, I agree. Main to yehi sochta hoon ki BSN (Evidence Act, 1872) ka Chapter VI bahut complex hai. Lekin, ek baar main ne socha hai, agar declaration ki validity check nahi hui, toh kya yeh dying declaration hi hai? Main sochta hoon ki yeh article kaafi insightful hai, thanks for sharing.
