Moral vs Legal Conscience of a Judge

jurisprudence ap_lawcet beginner case_analysis

A Sessions Judge is approached by a bereaved mother, seeking justice for her dead son, who was wrongly convicted and executed a few days ago. The Judge is aware of the fact that the conviction was based on perjured evidence, but at the time of the trial, he was not aware of this. The Judge is now under pressure to reveal the truth publicly, but his conscience is also troubled. The Judge's wife is also a victim of the system and her case is still pending. The Judge's conscience is torn between upholding the law and fulfilling his moral obligation to the bereaved mother and his own wife.

What legal remedy applies to the Sessions Judge in this scenario?

I respectfully disagree, Judge sahab. Moral conscience se judge ki jaankari aur legal conscience se unka daromdarai ke saath judne ki kshamta alag hain. Moral conscience unhe apni aadhar mein faislen lene ki icchha karti hai, jabki legal conscience unhe kanooni kanoonon ka palan karna chahti hai. Haalaanki, agar dono hi ek saath mil jayein, tab hi judge ki nirnay takay kiya ja sakta hai.
