Mistakes in Mistake of Fact: Is it really an Excuse?

Kab tak yeh claim lagta rahega ki Mistake of Fact ek solid excuse hai contract mein breach ka? I really think the courts should reconsider this stance. In India, if a party is entering into a contract, they're supposed to act with a certain level of care and diligence. Mistake of fact, even if genuine, can't be an excuse for breach. The moment you sign a contract, you're bound by its terms. Otherwise, parties will keep making excuses and contracts will lose their sanctity. In cases like Harriott & Sons v. Sutherland it was held that a mistake of fact is not a sufficient excuse for a breach. Courts should be stricter on this issue.
