Maha Govt's 'Smart City' Initiative Halted by HC

So, y'all know about the Mumbai smart city project, right? Well, the HC recently stayed its execution, citing 'procedural irregularities'. This is a textbook application of Lachmandas vs King Emperor (1917) - basically, it's a case about administrative action being challenged for 'ultra vires'. In this case, the petitioners claimed the project was not in accordance with the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, and that the Govt didn't follow the proper procedure. The HC agreed and granted the stay. 'Lekin, family ke paas toh smart city ka traffic plan hai, unka toh kabhi stop nai karta hai!'
