Liability of Social Media Platforms for Defamation

Yeh topic toofani hai, guys! Do you think social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube should be held liable for defamation committed by users on their platforms? I'm taking the side that they should be liable.

Agar you think about it, social media platforms have a huge responsibility in preventing the spread of false or defamatory content. They have algorithms, moderators, and all the resources to monitor and remove such content. If they fail to do so, why should they not be held accountable? It's like they're playing a game of 'dhaga-dhaga', pretending to be neutral when in reality they have the power to control the narrative.
