Jurisprudence: Where the Rubber Meets the Road

I took a mock test by LegalEdge and scored 60% in the Jurisprudence section, which is a bit below my expectations. I was struggling with the questions on the concept of sovereignty and its relationship with the State. I scored just 30% in that area, which was a major letdown.

I think the problem lies in the fact that I still haven't fully grasped the distinction between sovereignty and dominion. I mean, I know my theory, but still can't put it into practice. Take the question, for example: "Whether the doctrine of pith and substance is still applicable in the wake of the 102nd Amendment." I had read the Palko case and the Supreme Court's judgment in the Golaknath case, but still, the answer didn't come to me.
