Judicial Services Mains: Admin Law - A Mixed Bag

admin judiciary intermediate experience_share

Dude, I still remember my Judicial Services mains, especially Admin Law. We got a 3-hour paper with 100 marks. I prepared well, but honestly, Admin Law was always a struggle for me. I scored 74 out of 100 - not bad, but could have been better.

Here's a sample question that still haunts me:

Question: "Explain the distinction between 'public function' and 'government function' in the context of Article 12 of the Constitution. Discuss with suitable examples."

I scored 21 out of 30 on that question! Weak areas - I got confused between public function and government function, and didn't bring in enough examples to illustrate the distinction. Need to work on that!

My weak areas were always Article 309, State Legislature vs Union Legislature, and the concept of 'public authority' under the RTI Act. I need to brush up on those!
