IP Myth Burst: Idea Can't Be Copied
ipr general beginner myth_bustYeh concept toh notes mein padhta hai, idea kisi ko copy nahi kar sakta. But reality mein, idea protection ki koi direct provision nahi hai. Yeh concept 'idea' se related hai kya? Bas aapko ek new innovation ki idea aati hai, to aapko patent nahi mil sakta. Kyun? Idea apne asli value mein nahi hai, jab tak vo physical form mein nahi badal diya jaye, ya vo usmein implement nahi kiya jaye. Aur iske liye, koi direct protection nahi hai. **Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan V.

Maine soch rakha hai ki yeh statement sahi nahin hai. Koi bhi idea copy kar sakta hai, lekin agar idea ki execution aur presentation unique toh uske liye koi problem nahin. Jaise, woh movie koi aur director bana kar release kar sakta hai, lekin yeh film ki idea copy nahi ho rahi.
Yaar, I think idea copying is a grey area, actually. Idea itself is not a subject matter of copyright. But, if an idea is expressed or explained in a particular way (say, in a script, code or design), then that's where IP law comes in. The expression, not the idea itself, can be protected under IP laws like copyright, patents, etc. It's a fine line, kya?
