Impracticalities of the "Consideration" Myth

contract bar_exam intermediate reform_idea

So, you know how contract law is all about consideration being the backbone of a valid agreement? Well, it's time we faced the music - the whole concept is outdated and impractical in today's world. What happens when a person does a favour to another without expecting anything in return? Under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, it's assumed that they must have a tacit understanding that some benefit will come their way. But is it realistic to expect everyone to be aware of this subtle expectation? In today's digital age, where people freely offer help and support online, it's absurd to still tie consideration to the validity of a contract. It's time for a reform that acknowledges the changing dynamics of human relationships. Let's ditch the outdated notion of consideration and focus on actual intent and agreement.

"Log kya kahenge, is concept ko practical test me lagaaya jaane ki zaroorat hai. Lekin agar hamaare contract act me consideration ki soch hai toh yeh sochna jaruri hai ki kis prakaar ki consideration hain? Nijaat, wada, aur aise gyaatre hain jo kathin samay tak sambandhban se judte rehte hain.
