Just last month in UP, a girl who was allegedly gangraped by 3 guys was arrested and jailed for 2 days for giving a false statement in her FIR. Now, the police say she had initially said 2 guys were involved but later revealed 3 more. What's the big deal, right? Isn't it just a change in statement? According to lawyers, it's actually a case of perjury and could land her in jail for up to 3 years.
