Family Law Needs a Paradigm Shift in CLAT PG/AILET PG Syllabus

I think it's high time we rethink the way Family Law is taught in CLAT PG/AILET PG exams. The emphasis on theoretical knowledge, outdated case laws, and dry statutes is doing more harm than good. Frankly, most students memorize a few key judgments and then forget they existed once the exam is over. Why isn't the focus more on practical application, cross-disciplinary perspectives, and recent developments in the field? This would better prepare students for the messy, real-life cases they'll encounter as future family lawyers.

Isn't it time we stop teaching 'Rashmi Mehta vs. Rishab Mehta' (which, by the way, was overruled in 2018) and instead delve into how laws like the Domestic Violence Act intersect with other areas of law?
