Family Law for Judicial Services: Where do I even start?

family judiciary intermediate resource_request

Ye section sapne mein aata hai ab. I've been struggling with Family Law for JJS and I'm at my wit's end. I've tried 'Family Law in India' by Raghavan, but it's too lengthy and I get lost in the details. Then I moved to the Jindal Global Law School notes, but they're too basic for me. I've also watched some online lectures on YouTube, but they're not comprehensive enough. My friend's cousin is a law officer and I asked him for some recommendations, but he just said 'try other books, yaar, this is too specific'. I need something that breaks it down in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Can someone please recommend some good resources? I'm desperate.

Totally feel you, guys! Family law is one of the most complex areas in judiciary. My prof says, start with the basics: Indian Contract Act, Special Marriage Act, and Guardianship and Wards Act. Then dive into Hindu Marriage Act, Muslim Personal Law, and the landmark judgments like Vishakha and Shakti Vahini. Don't forget to brush up on your evidence and procedure! Practice problems are the key to mastering this area.
