Distracted Intentionality: A Confused Query

Bhai, main confuse ho raha hoon (I'm getting confused). In tort of negligence, intentionality ka concept kaisa hai? Aap kahaenge ki intentionality compulsory hai (you will say is compulsory), but koi case hai jahaan intentionality ka absence hai, lekin still tort liability padi (there's a case where despite absence of intention, tort liability arose). Mujhe lagta hai ki yeh N v N (R) ka case hai, lekin nahi (I feel it's N v N (R) case, but not). Abhi tak main samajh nahin paya (I still didn't get it). Aap kahaenge ki intentionality ka absence tort liability ka defense hai, aur phir us case ke liye kahaenge, kaisa ho sakta hai? Help me out, please!
