Digital Payment Agreements: Vada Pav ka Sutta

Imagine you're at a vada pav stall, and you ask the vendor, "Kya payment online hoga ya cash?" (Will it be online payment or cash?). If they say, "Online hoga," it means they're offering a digital payment option. But, let's say they say, "Cash hi payenge, tum log toh online payment karte hain, humse online kya?" (Only cash will be accepted, you people are the ones who do online payments, why do you want to online pay us?). That's when they're not offering a digital payment option, and it's your fault for expecting one. Similarly, under Section 43A of the IT Act, if a business offers digital payments but doesn't adhere to the RBI norms, they're liable for any losses. It's all about clarity, just like labeling those tiny vada pav packets with the amount!
