Cyber Law in the Kitchen - The Curious Case of Section 43A

Arre, every time my mom asks me to take a screenshot of an online shopping receipt, I think of Section 43A of the IT Act! You see, this Section says that if a body corporate (that's my online shopping app) fails to provide security practices, and because of that a computer resource or database is compromised, you can sue them for damages. I mean, I'm no cyber law expert, but I'm pretty sure my mom's online shopping data isn't exactly secure. Next time she asks me to take a screenshot, I'll ask her, "Mom, have you read Section 43A?"
