Criminal Law Mock Test: IPC, Evidence, and Bail
criminal clat_pg advanced experience_shareI took a mock test yesterday and I'm still reeling from it. I scored 72/150 in Criminal Law, which is a disaster for me. My dad, papa, who's a lawyer, was all like "Beta, what's wrong? You've been studying so well!" But I know what the problem is. I'm struggling with the nuances of IPC, specially sections 300 to 304. The question was about the difference between murder and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. I got it wrong, and the answer was in the margin of my notes all along. My weak areas are clearly Evidence and Bail. I need to work on the concepts of hearsay and bail bondsmen. This was a tough test, but I'm not giving up! I'll get it right next time, yaar.

Bhai, great effort on the mock test! I agree with section 300 IPC, 'M Murders' question, but not so sure about the bail provisions under Evidence Act. In the recent landmark judgment of 'Antulay vs. R.S. Nayak' (1988), SC clearly laid down the guidelines for anticipatory bail. It's crucial to stay updated on recent judgments for such questions. Keep it up!
