Criminal Law - Harassment v/s Criminal Intimidation: CUET PG Law 2022 Question

Ye section sapne mein aata hai ab! I was trying to recall IPC sec 510 and sec 506, kya hota hai harassment versus criminal intimidation? Here was the question:

"X threatens Y to harm her if she doesn't marry Z, who X dislikes. X threatens to kill Y if she doesn't do so. In the light of IPC, is X liable for both threats and if so, what is the difference between sec 506 and 506(2)?"

To tackle this, you need to understand that sec 506(1) deals with punishment for criminal intimidation whereas sec 506(2) deals with the circumstances in which criminal intimidation becomes punishable.
