CPC - Specific Performance of Contract
cpc general intermediate poll_styleCan a court order specific performance of a contract when the contract is for the sale of a commodity which is readily available in the market? I came across two different opinions on this. Option 1 says that specific performance can be ordered if the commodity is not easily available or is of a special type. Option 2 claims that a commodity being readily available means that money compensation would be adequate, thus not making specific performance necessary. Which one do you think is correct and why?
