CPC Ka Section 17 Dilemma

cpc clat_ug intermediate poll_style

Guys, I'm stuck on this CLAT UG prep question and I need your help! So, Section 17 of the CPC talks about the meaning of 'Court'. Now, I'm wondering - does it include a 'tribunal' within its scope? I've got two options here:

A) Yes, it does - any tribunal exercising judicial or quasi-judicial functions B) No, it doesn't - only courts established under the Constitution or statutes

Which one's correct and why? I mean, I've read the section like 5 times, but I'm still unsure. Somebody please break it down for me!

Section 17 of CPC is indeed a dilemma. What's also worth considering is how it intersects with the doctrine of res sub judice, potentially leading to conflicting judgments if not handled carefully. Anyone else think this could be a recipe for jurisdictional chaos?

Maine saari baatein padhi hain lekin ek cheez clear nahi ho rahi hai. CPC ka Section 17 kya kaha hai? Yeh section kaafi complex hai. Kya yeh section court ke adhikar ko define karta hai ya parties ke beech ki dispute ko solve karta hai? Main samjha hoon ki section 17 ki shuruaat un conditions se hoti hai jahaan parties ko court ke paas jaana padta hai.
